Opening Doors

Those wishing to access the homelessness access point services can be self-referred or referred by another agency.

When you contact our service we will arrange a mutually convenient time for you to sit down and discuss your housing related issues with an Initial Assessment & Planning worker. The worker will offer a range of advice and information about housing, accommodation and support options with a view to helping you to find a resolution to your issue.

Where appropriate you may be referred to external agencies or to our Homelessness Services Crisis or Transitional support programs.

Crisis Housing Support

Our Crisis housing support program has access to 3 properties for those who are in housing crisis. You can stay in one of these properties for a period of up to 12 weeks. While you are there a Housing Case Manager will work with you to help you with any immediate needs you may have and to help you find other accommodation.

Transitional Housing Support

Our Transitional housing support program has access to 14 properties for those who are in housing crisis. While you are staying in transitional housing a Housing Case Manager will work with you to help you with any personal or family related needs you may have, but their main focus is on helping you find suitable longer term accommodation. You can stay in a Transitional housing property for an initial period of 12 months which can be extended if you are still working with your Housing Case Manager to find other accommodation.
