Our Activities

Worship
Sunday 10am
Every Sunday we hold morning and afternoon meetings (church services) which are open to anyone who is interested in experiencing The Salvation Army’s unique style of Christian worship.

Recreation
Our Recreation Program provides options for positive social and recreational involvement for people with limited opportunities. The program is designed to cater for people of all abilities. A recreation events planner is produced monthly which details upcoming activities.

Farsi Church
Sunday 2:30pm
This service is predominately for Farsi speaking Christians

Mens Group and Women's Group
Tuesday morning (Men’s Group is held on a Thursday)
We provide interesting and fun activities to engage these two groups. Activities included are craft, cooking, lifestyle and cultural.

Meals Program
Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Our café provides low-cost, healthy meals for people on low incomes in the local area.
We provide a free breakfast Monday to Friday (hot breakfast on
Tuesday and Thursday)
We provide a $3 lunch Monday, Wednesday & Friday
The atmosphere is friendly and inviting, the food is good and everyone is welcome.

Community Support Services
For people in financial crisis, this service provides material aid, referral and advocacy to help people get back on track. The service runs by appointment Monday, Wednesday and Friday (9am - 12.30pm) and Tuesday and Thursday mornings (9am - 11am)
We also provide case management and financial counselling (by appointment).
A Health Nurse is available once a month

‘Peace in a Pod’ Gardening Group
In partnership with Moonee Valley Salvation Army we have a weekly gardening group. We travel to Moonee Valley together and enjoy positive social interaction while spending time in the garden together. Veges that are grown are used through our Community Centre kitchen and meals at Moonee Valley’s Recovery Church.

'Therapeutic Art Group’ (Fortnightly on Mondays)

Creative Wellbeing is a therapeutic art program using art making and play as a way of self-expression, exploration, personal growth and social inclusion, for people that have experienced social isolation, mental health issues and any other disadvantages that have excluded them from belonging.
