About The Family Place

The Family Place is a community center that welcomes all families within the Logan and surrounding areas . The center offers a large fully fenced yard, with shady trees, play equipment, including forts, swings, sandpit, and water play areas, fun activities, resident chickens and support for families.
The indoor facilities include an air-conditioned play space with toys and books to explore. Kitchen facilities for Tea and Coffee is available and Morning Tea is usually provided for most groups. Disability accessible toileting and change tables facilities are also provided.  
The Family Place offers playgroups from Monday -Wednesday including Music and Moment Programs, Sensory Messy Play sessions and Baby and Me programs (for parents and babies from 0-12 months), Art and Craft Social Groups, Young Parents mentoring programs, school holiday programs and Salvation Army Sunday Play Sessions. Other programs offered at the Centre include parenting skills programs such as Circle of Security, 123 Magic and Bringing up Great Kids.
We also partner with other services in the local area to offer additional supports such as psychology/counselling services, Allied Health services such as Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy and Pre-Employment Support for Parents.  The Centre primarily supports families with Children from 0-5 yrs.  in their early development years but is also open to older family members especially during the school holiday periods.
The Centre is open from Monday -Thursday from 9-4pm and you can drop in any time in those hours for a play (some closure periods for closed/private groups may apply).

Salvos Connect

Salvos Connect is located in the Yarrabilba Salvos Store

The purpose is to connect the community with the mission of The Salvation Army
