The Salvation Army is an international Christian movement, united by faith and giving hope where it is needed most. We are dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus by: Caring for People; Creating faith pathways; Building healthy communities; and Working for justice.
The Maitland City Corps (church) is located on the corner of Alexandra Ave and Bunning Ave, Rutherford (near the western side of Rutherford Marketplace and Caltex Service Station). Although, the car park is accessed via Compton Street.
We have activities for all age groups, including Sunday worship; PlayTime (pre-schoolers); Sunday School; Junior Soldiers; SAGALA; Youth Group; Mens and Womens fellowship; Bible Studies; Home League; Silver Threads; Connect Groups; Brass Band; and a music group.
We also have a bus available to assist those who wish to attend activities, but do not have their own transport.
