Every 17 seconds, The Salvation Army in Australia helps someone in need. And this help is made possible through the generosity of people like you.
As the cost-of-living crisis deepens, it is resulting in an unsurmountable mountain of financial and personal stress for many. Countless Aussies, many for the first time, are coming to us for support.
We need your help to ensure that when people reach out to the Salvos, we are there to provide practical assistance to those facing homelessness, hardship, and injustice.

The Benefit of Doubt
Dates April 27 – June 1
God isn’t intimidated by your hardest questions—in fact, He welcomes them. When we wrestle with doubt, it can feel isolating. You might wonder, “Am I the only one who thinks this way?” or worry, “What if the people I care about knew I was struggling with my faith?” But here's the truth: you're not alone. Doubt doesn't disqualify your faith it can actually deepen it. Let your questions lead you not away from God, but into a more real, grounded, and deeply personal faith. Sometimes, the road to a stronger belief begins with doubt and God walks with us every step of the way.
Alpha
Starting Thurs 15 May - 7pm-8:30pm
We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to explore faith, ask questions, and share their perspective.
Alpha is a series of sessions that dive into the Christian faith, with each talk tackling a different question to spark meaningful conversations.
Alpha will be running at NBC salvos on Thursday nights starting from the 15th May (7pm-8:30pm)

Our Regular Ministries
Salvos Thrift Shop
8am-12pm, Thursdays & Fridays. 9am-2pm, first and last Saturday of every month.
Come and visit our Thrift Shop! There are heaps of bargains: clothes, bric-a-brac, glassware, CDs, furniture and heaps of other items to keep you busy whilst you browse. We love it when our community comes to visit so say hi to one of our friendly workers and enjoy your day! Heaps of free parking.

Our Thrift Shop is looking for some enthusiastic volunteers who'd love to give some time to help with sorting, preparing, pricing, setting up shop and a few other things that go hand in hand with this friendly retail environment.
