The Salvation Army Todd Street Men’s Program
The Salvation Army Men’s Program in Alice Springs provides accommodation and support to adult males who are at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness.
This specialist service equips participants with knowledge and skills that can support them in making choices which will enhance their quality of life. Through empowerment and case management, we aim to see the participants living independently at the end of their time with us.
Todd Street Men’s Program is a non-discriminatory service run in accordance with The Salvation Army’s Christian faith, values and practice. We provide a positive environment and aim to build supportive relationships with all participants.
The program provides:
-
24 independent units – this helps participants develop the skills required for independent living once ready to move on from the program
-
Safety and a sense of connection between residents – we have a yarning circle, security systems and onsite parking for residents
-
Tenancy support and management – this service helps participants navigate their own leases in the future
-
Case management that addresses specific needs of the individual – this may include tenancy support, advocacy, financial planning, safety planning, health and wellbeing, mental health, family, employment, education, access to training, disability, life skills and lifestyle choices, community knowledge, existing supports, income, and achieving sustainable tenancy outcomes
