We are looking for a Youth Pastor & Ministry Assistant to join our team in Parramatta! As the Youth Pastor & Ministry Assistant, you will co-ordinate the Youth and Children’s ministry activities of the Corps (church) to encourage it's participants to love and serve Jesus Christ. This role will also see you supporting the Youth & Children’s leaders in mentoring activities, developing resources and developing new initiatives. This role is a part of the leadership team, contributing to the Corps Mission of ‘lives changed by Jesus’.
Essential Requirements:
- A commitment to the Christian faith and the mission of The Salvation Army.
- An ability to offer pastoral assistance, to offer prayer and to explain the Christian Gospel.
- A regular attendee of a church who is involved in ministry
- Training in Youth & Children’s related ministries or evidence of substantial relevant experience
- WHS – knowledge of work health safety obligations and to practice these in the workplace in line with TSA policy & procedures and legislation.
- Professional development required to maintain skills for the role.
- NSW Working With Children Check
Desirable requirements
- Licence to drive 13 seater bus
- Successful completion of ministry related study
- Experience in leading worship, including preaching
