This Sunday - Red Sunday We invite everyone to wear something RED to our services this Sunday as we celebrate Pentecost and raise funds for the Red Shield Appeal. We will have a bake sale between services with both cash and EFT facilities available, so come along ready to purchase some baked goods!
This Sunday we also begin a new series called 'To the Ends of the Earth: A Journey Through Acts'. We invite you to read through the Book of Acts in your quiet time over the coming weeks as we unpack what it means for us over the next 5 weeks.
Sunday 30 May A reminder that there will be no church services in person next weekend. We hope that you volunteer to door knock or cover a static location instead! There will be a short online service available from 9:30am on Sunday for you to watch at some point during the day when you aren't out collecting!
Bank West Stadium - Collection Opportunity We are excited to let you know that we have been given the opportunity to collect at Bank West Stadium before the footy on Friday 28 May. Our band will be performing with our timbrels from 7pm-8pm out the front of Bank West Stadium.
We are after collectors to come and help us on the night. There will be a briefing at 6:30pm at 426 Church Street, then we will walk up the the stadium to collect from 7pm-8pm. Collectors will be given special Red Shield vests to wear while collecting, so jeans and a warm jacket are appropriate attire to be worn underneath the vests.

Youth Group This Friday night (21 May) our youth are gathering together for a CHALLENGE night! All youth from school year 6 and above are welcome to attend youth at Parramatta Salvos from 7pm-9pm. For more information contact Jayne at jayne.combremont@salvationarmy.org.au
Ladies Fellowship Each week Ladies Fellowship meets at Parramatta Salvos. This group provides a place for women to gather together, build friendships, give support and care, encourage learning and share the love of Christ with each other. 10am-11:30am Wednesdays on Level 1 at Parramatta Salvos.
This Wednesday May 26 we will be a special morning with Major Margaret Sanz titled "Worship".
Flourish - Women's Event We invite women of all ages to register for our first 'FLOURISH' women's gathering. This event will take place on the evening of Saturday 5 June at 6pm. Red Shield Appeal Our static collections points begin this weekend! Thanks to all those who have already signed up to help! Please check the roster below and email Sarah at sarah.walker@salvationarmy.org.au if you are able to cover one of the time slots.
We are also asking everyone to create a Digital Door Knock page and raise funds and awareness online. You can sign up by following the link below.
Movie Night We had over 80 people come along to our Movie Night last Saturday night. It was a great time of fun and fellowship, and we were able to raise over $600 for the Red Shield Appeal this year.
EFT Machines at Static Points This year we have been able to secure enough EFT Machines and Tap n Go terminals for each of our static collection points. If you are rostered on to collect over Red Shield week and are unsure about how to use these machines, you can see Sarah in the foyer between Sunday services this week for a short tutorial. Instructions will also be provided at the static collection sites.
Red Shield Appeal Please pray for all our collectors who will be out over the next week at static locations, stadiums and Door Knocking! Pray for safety, great conversation and connection, and generosity from our local community.
Carol Pomering Please pray for Carol who enters hospital this Monday to prepare for surgery on Tuesday. We can pray for a successful surgery and also for Fred as he continues to support Carol at this time.
