The Salvation Army Portland is committed to working alongside others to meet the needs in our community. We can't do this without without our fantastic volunteers, so we are both grateful and excited to have you consider joining us.

Your unique skills will be greatly appreciated as a volunteer for The Salvation Army Portland!

You'll be surprised at just how much your time and skills can help. Whether you have a passion for fixing things, an eye for detail or a gift for dealing with people, your unique skills will be greatly welcomed and appreciated.

As a volunteer, you'll be joining a friendly, caring team of people who give their spare time to help the Salvos. You'll also have the satisfaction of knowing you're using your talents in a positive, creative way. We will place you in the area best suited to your skills.

A whole range of needs present themselves from working with vulnerable people, preparing food, and gardening to sitting and having a cuppa with someone.

We have a fleet of much needed and appreciated Op Shop Volunteers who sort, serve and stack at our Thrift Shop and we always need more hands on deck to share the load.

We would love to have people with passion and a desire to help us in helping others.
