About Preston Corps and Community Services
We want to welcome you to come along the journey with us; A place where you can connect with a family of people and have a sense of belonging. We are a people of faith committed to loving God and others in creative and tangible ways. We achieve this by meeting together each week (Sunday, 10 am), remaining in contact with each other through the week (in small groups), private prayer and study, and community involvement.
Community Involvement
Our community involvement includes a range of activities that care for people and work for justice such as, Community Lunch, Emergency Relief, Drop-in Centre and more.
Church
We meet regularly as a faith community to encourage one another, to learn, and to worship together. We have activities for all ages including children's teaching, music for toddlers, places for youth to hang out together, women's groups and more.

Worshipping together is one way we try to understand our relationship with God and our responsibility for others. We are continually exploring what it means to "love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength", and what that looks like as we try to influence our community positively.

Who is a Christian?
A Christian is a follower of Jesus Christ.
A Christian is a person who has decided to:
- Turn away from rebelling against God and trying to run their own life
- Trust in Jesus Christ and what he has done for us,
- Acknowledge Jesus Christ as the Ruler of their life.
Christians are not perfect, but we trust the claims of Jesus Christ, and His ability to help us to live in a way that is faithful to the character and teaching of Jesus Christ, and that will honour God
Becoming a follower of Christ is an act of faith, in response to God's faithfulness to us. It is an easy step to take, but a challenging life to live.
Prayer of Salvation
If you want to enter into a relationship with God right now, this simple prayer is a good way of expressing that desire.
Dear God,
I know I am not worthy to be called a child of God and belong to your family. I do not deserve your gift of eternal life. I am guilty of rebelling against you and ignoring you. I need your forgiveness.
I want to turn from living my life in my own way. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose again to give me new life. I now acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Ruler of my life.
Make me a member of your family. Please help me to love you and serve you always.
