What roles are available?
We have opportunities available throughout the centre in the Op Shop, kitchen and cafe, providing emergency relief, administration, facility maintainance and more.
While we do our best to place volunteers in areas that interest them, it is not always possible to match you with your first pick.
Volunteer Information Sessions
We host regular information sessions for people interested in a volunteer role with the Salvation Army. You'll learn about our organisation and our mission in Rockingham. This is a great opportunity to ask any questions that you may have about volunteering with us as well.

Do you offer student placements?
We do offer student placements. All requests for student placements (to complete practicum components of a course) should be made via the educational provider.
How long is the application process?
To ensure that a volunteer position with the Salvation Army is right for you, our application process takes approximately four weeks. This allows you to meet with other volunteers, attend training and learn about our work before you begin your volunteer role.

This is a great opportunity to ask any questions and see our amazing centre. During the information session you will learn about the application process.
Once you have attended a Volunteer Information Session you will be directed to complete an online application form along with a police clearance through Fit2Work. At this stage you will be assigned a role with the volunteer coordinator/program leader discussing the role in more detail.
To ensure that you are fully equipped and ready to go, we ask that you complete some short online training courses before you begin.
