Captain Kenneth (Kenny) Delamore

I joined the RSDS team in 2001 with Joanne, my wife, at Puckapunyal and re-joined the team in 2013.

While at the Puckapunyal Army Training Facility, I served 26 Transport Sqn, Schools of Armour and Artillery and Army Logistics Training Centre (ALTC), with was in 2001.  The rest of my RSDS appointments have been supporting the following units 2RAR, 3CER; 2/14, 7CSSB and RMC/ADFA.  I have been appointment to RMC/ADFA twice.  I was also an ARES Chap for 4/3 RNSWR.

I was deployed to Manus Island 2013 as The Salvation Army Chaplain to the Regional Processing Centre and was also the Chaplain to the defence civilians and contractors onboard HMAS Choules throughout the deployment.  I was also deployed to the Middle East Region (MER) 2017, serving in the UAE and Afghanistan.  Both Jo and myself were deployed during the 2019/20 bush fires on Operation Bushfire Assist to the Bega area.

The thing I most love about my role in RSDS is the unique nature of being 'out bush' and ministry around the truck.
