On Christmas Eve 2024, the streets of Alfords Point came alive with festive cheer, thanks to the iconic yellow 1970 Chrysler Valiant. For the 29th year, this wonderful tradition brought joy to every street and cul-de-sac, sharing kilos of lollies over an incredible four hours.
This magical evening was made possible by Gerry Flannery from Menai Men’s Shed, Mark Henry (our very own Santa), and driver Mark Walmsley from Alfords Point. With perfect weather and an outpouring of community spirit, the event was a heartwarming success.
Residents generously donated $1,230.60 via Shire Salvos buckets attached to the Valiant, with all proceeds going to support local welfare services.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed, cheered, and joined in the fun. Your kindness and generosity continue to make a real difference for those in need in the Shire.
