Seven blokes rocked up for our guysNgolf afternoon at Golf Central Brisbane near DFO on Saturday, April 13.
We divided into two teams to tackle the challenging mini golf course. Each of the holes is named after an international destination popular with Queenslanders.
To generate conversation, the blokes were invited to say whether they'd been to that country and spin a yarn about something they remember from that visit. Ian had been to 14 of the 18 countries.
A highlight of the day was a hole-in-one from John - on the supplementary 18th hole. He didn't use a club but underarmed the ball toward the hole and - swish - it went in; clean as a whistle. It was good news for him as the combined scorecards had him finishing last. Scott won the day, followed by Darryl, Ian/Clarrie, Kyle, Don and John. Ian scored 3 holes in one and Darryl and Scott one each.
... of course we had our "traditional" Tim the Toolman Tim Tams, which we ate with coffee after our round.
Our next event is our popular palsNpistols night at Belmont on Thursday, May 23, from 6pm
