Self Denial Appeal 2025 Trailer

2025 Self Denial Program Back on March

We’re excited to announce the launch of the 2025 Self Denial Program on Sunday, March 2nd, and we invite you to be part of this life-changing initiative!

In times of uncertainty, our God remains the God of hope. No matter what we’re facing, we can trust that He will keep His promises. Through faith and obedience, we can experience overflowing hope, unshakable joy, and peace — no matter our circumstances.

This year, the Self Denial Appeal calls us to live out this truth through our giving, and we have a unique opportunity to make a difference right in our own community. As followers of Jesus, we are challenged to step out in faith and show generosity, knowing that our giving brings God’s hope to life in the hearts of those around us — and in our own lives.

🙏 What’s the goal? Through your donation, we aim to support individuals and families within our community who need help, sharing God’s love and hope in practical ways. Your generosity will directly impact lives, bringing tangible relief and spiritual hope to those who need it most.

How can you participate?

  • Seek God’s guidance in your giving
  • Trust Him to provide as you give generously to the Self Denial Appeal
  • See His hope revealed in your life and in the lives of those you help in our community

Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 2nd, and join us as we work together to make a lasting impact. Let’s spread hope, support one another, and share the love of Christ through our actions and donations.

Together, we can create change and bring hope to those who need it most!

Friends,

When we live Jesus-centred, Spirit-led lives, we open the way for God’s hope to be revealed to us and to others. The annual Self DenialAppeal is an opportunity for us — The Salvation Army Australia — to put this message into action. We can prayerfully seek God and make a sacrificial, financial gift that helps reveal his hope to others around the world.

Many of you have generously supported the Self Denial Appeal in the past — thank you! I am so grateful for you.Your gift has enabled Salvation Army ministries to operate in countries where funds are limited.

This year’s theme is “Hope revealed” and draws upon Paul’s message in Romans 15:13, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (NIV).
I have had the incredible opportunity of travelling to Papua New Guinea (PNG) and Indonesia over recent times. To open the intensive care ward in Indonesia, that our people sponsored, including a neo-natal section, was an incredible privilege. Hope revealed!

To sit with a young girl in PNG, who had just lost her dad, to hear her story, and then know we are able to help is both heartbreaking and beautiful. Hope revealed. To be able to support people in desperation across the world. Hope revealed.

I am personally committed to being very generous so that hope is revealed. Our gifts can make a huge difference, and oh, to see those smiles!
Thank you for partnering with the international Salvation Army to transform lives in communities around the world. This year, our video series will highlight work being done in Bulgaria, Georgia, India and Tanzania.

Many of these programs are focused on meeting human needs, all of them are bathed in the love of Jesus, but some are ineligible for government support as they are classed as evangelical.

When you give to the Self Denial Appeal, please consider whether you need a tax receipt, and, if not, give to our Evangelical Mission Support fund to help The Salvation Army with this under-funded missionary work.

Thank you for prayerfully seeking God’s heart for this year’s Self Denial Appeal, placing your trust in him and believing hope will be revealed.

Bless you.

We are pleased to announce that the Playgroup for Term 2, 2025, will restart in April the 29th.

We would like to welcome you to The Salvation Army Warrnambool Playgroup. Whether you are a Child, Parent, Grandparent or Carer - you are an important part of our Playgroup family.

We meet together on Tuesday morning at 10am through to 11:30am during school terms. Together we discover we are not alone in the parenting journey, while at the same time we have lots of fun as adults and children interact together and learn through play.

We follow a regular format, which provides both variety and routine for your child/children. We acknowledge that routine is part of a child's development, preparing them for the out of home activities they will engage in. We ask that you guide your child through the morning activities enabling them to grow confidently as they discover new toys, new craft, new stories, new songs and friends.

Please be aware there will be times/seasons where our programme will reflect God based references.

For the morning format, please refer on the score preview

Morning Tea

We ask that you provide a healthy (nut-free) snack and drink for yourchild/children. We ask that you discourage your child/children from eating or snacking until morning tea. Once the toys are away and everyone is seated together, we share in singing Grace before we eat.

Pack away toys and craft

This is a time when everyone assists in the gathering together of all the toys and craft,
